Leaf it to Minted for botanical style

From fashion to home decor and everything in between, botanicals are bigger than ever. It’s one of my favourite trends for spring/summer, so naturally I looked to nature to freshen up our gallery wall for the new season. Leaf it to Minted to have botanical prints for every style under the sun, whether vintage, boho or (my favourite) tropical greens. I spent a contented couple of hours last month tilling the site for a selection of plantastic prints to complement the ones we already had. Who says blue and green should never be seen? You’ll see plenty here and I think it’s fab!

If you’re not familiar with Minted, it’s an online design marketplace of affordable, limited edition artwork and photography created by independent artists from around the world. All of the artwork is available in a variety of sizes and framing options and the selection is always growing. We’ve paired up a few times now, first to create last summer’s wall and later to change it up for winter. And maybe you entered the Mother’s Day giveaway with Minted last month? It’s one of my favourite sources for art prints, custom stationary, textiles and party supplies, and I love my Minted cake plate in classic jade green.

We tidied up yesterday before my father-in-law arrived for a few days so the living room really does look this clean, but in no time the couch will be strewn with blankets and toys and the side tables cluttered with books and Shopkins and bits of lego. (The stuff of life!) Occasionally one of the lower pictures gets knocked slightly askew (I probably should have hung them a couple of inches higher) but whatever, whatever. I’m plant-y happy with the result.

Clockwise from top left: Raindrops on Succulents by Becky Nimoy, Minted; Flowering Cacti by Our Heiday, Chapters;  Palm Leaves by Simon Watson for Getty Images, Chapters; Seaside by Alexandra Nazari, Minted; Stand Out (no longer available) by A Beautiful Mess; Navy Gaze by Ferme à Papier, Chapters; Pineapple Balance by Thimblepress, Chapters; Palm Study #4 by Cindy Lackey, Minted; Tranquil by Indigo Studio, Minted. Middle: Slow Zebra by Nikkol Christiansen, Minted.

Somebody said pillows are like stuffies for adults. OMG cannot resist the pillows! (The ones here are these batik covers from Chapters.) Minted has all kinds of gorgeous pillows too, only the shipping to Canada is pricey (especially with our dollar in the toilet). But US readers, shop to your heart’s content!

Do you change up your decor for spring/summer? See any prints you like here?

I partnered with Minted for this post. (Thank you for the art prints, Minted!) All opinions are my own.

  1. Beautiful….. Your room looks so inviting. Can I come, put my feet up, enjoy my book and keep looking up at your fabulous array of Mother Nature’s calming gifts to Mother Earth. How I envy your very soothing environment, even if it is pre lego. Beautiful

    1. This made me smile so much! 🙂 The couch is eQ3 and the plants from hither and yon (Loblaws and a local flower shop I love called Bloomfields). Well all but the cactus on the right — it’s an artificial from Urban Barn. Could you tell?
