I received the KitchenAid stand mixer and slicer/shredder attachment from TSC for free to review. The opinions expressed in my post are my own and not those of Rogers. And the same for Mad Radish — they sent me a gift card to pay for lunch. I think the gift cards are a great idea for holiday giving. (And receiving! Just sayin’.)
At some point today I’ll actually get out of my jammies and into the shower but I may just put them right back on because that’s how I roll. I have no plans to go out and all the plans to stay in (love those days!), and a pot of tea at the ready to keep me going for a while. Here’s the highlight reel from recent weeks and a reminder about an amazing giveaway wrapping up tomorrow morning that I don’t want you to miss. Happy Sunday!
Christmas ham at Cityline. (Cathy and I took a road trip to Toronto to see the December 8 “Deck the Halls” holiday special.)
Lining up early last Saturday morning to see The Polar Express, a tradition that always feels like the official start of the holiday season. A local real estate agent sponsors a showing every year in exchange for donations to the food bank.
Cathy and I took a break from the holiday hustle and bustle last Sunday for lunch at Mad Radish in the Glebe, one of two locations here in Ottawa. (Cathy had the warm Fired Up Chicken salad on the left; mine is the warm Vegan Chili Bowl on the right.) I love supporting companies that give back, and every order placed online or through the app = one serving of fresh produce for a local low-income family.
And now they have gift cards! I may have picked up a few to tuck under the tree. (But shh! It’s a surprise!)
Thursday night I made my first fresh wreath at a fun workshop hosted by Place d’Orleans. Don’t you love the smell of fresh cedar? It’s the first Christmas decoration I’ve put up here at home. (Are you already all decked out for the holidays?)
And today’s the last full day to enter to win a KitchenAid Artisan Mini stand mixer and slicer/shredder attachment from me and TSC (the contest ends tomorrow at 10 a.m. EST) so if you haven’t had the chance to do that yet, drop everything and go! I’ve been playing with the slicer and shredder and think they’d save quite a bit of time in the kitchen, but I’ll tell you a little more about those later today.
What are you up to today? Talk to me! You know I love hearing from you. And if you’ve entered to win the KitchenAid, good luck! I can’t wait to see who it’s going to!
