I was a guest of Alt Hotel and The Captain’s Boil and received the products in this post free of charge to review. All opinions are my own and from the heart.
You know when you tell yourself you’ll get to it tomorrow and suddenly it’s four months down the road and you’re no further ahead? Uggggggh. You feel crappy, right? Guilty, lazy, maybe anxious — all the things. I’ve been neglecting my fitness since before the holidays and the way I’ve been talking to myself because of it hasn’t been pretty. But that changes today. Today I’m taking a baby step to take better care of me with my first spin class of the year. But before I go (and I’m already in my gym clothes so there’s no going back now, right?), here’s a quick look at some of the things I’ve been doing lately, like enjoying some local eats and drinks at Ottawa’s Alt Hotel last Thursday. The cocktail party at the altcetera café was a chance to sample some specialty cocktails and nibblies made using locally-sourced ingredients.

Sampling the seafood (and chicken! and fries!) at Ottawa’s new second location of The Captain’s Boil restaurant. (Thanks for inviting me to join you, Cathy!)
And dreaming of lavender fields with This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray.
And today’s the last day to enter my giveaway for one of my favourite pieces from Foxy Originals’ new Spring/Summer collection, so make sure to get your entries in before midnight EST.
