If it’s a holiday Monday where you are, I hope you’re enjoying the day. My cold’s got the best of me so I’ve been pretty ineffective all-round today but I do have some highlights from our adventures over the past few weeks. We had my son’s birthday, Mother’s Day and my daughter’s birthday all in an eight-day stretch and my mother-in-law was here to celebrate all of it with us, which was really nice. (Regular readers will remember her from Friday’s GlobeIn post.)Â
Here she is now! I have lots of shots of my MIL (aka Nana) smiling but this one was too perfect, ha ha. And just between you and me: we don’t have mullions so I taped ribbon from the dollar store to the window to match the cover of the book.
The kids get to pick an activity to do as a family on their birthdays and my youngest chose bowling, so off we went. My MIL bowls once a week through the winter so we weren’t surprised when she took the top score.
At Old Navy for something or other.
And my friend Cathy and I saw the bestest doggies at the Farmers’ Market yesterday thanks to Golden Rescue Canada, which finds forever homes for abandoned golden retrievers. Isn’t he sweet?
These planters (also here) were more than the budget allowed, but we found a less expensive alternative and still managed to support the Farmers’ Market at the same time. (Very exciting, mes amies!) I’ll be showing that to you very soon.
How have you been? Did you have a nice weekend? Spill the tea in the comments!
Those planters are so unique!
Oh I Hope you are feeling better Julie. I have a bad cold right now. The mother in law shot is brilliant! omg love it! I love your photography and you are so creative. Bowling sounds so much fun. I’ve been bowling only one time. That puppy is super cute and the market sounds like so much fun. I adore all those plant head pot things. So beautiful! You’ve been so busy. I hope things have calmed down for you. Much love and have a beautiful June! God Bless!
Theatre Ontario festival from Wednesday through to Sunday…… and we were the hosts. Busy Busy Busy – great experience – four fabulous plays- four terrific adjudications – 3 great workshops and winners in every category.
Exhausting and exhilarating at the same time.
That’s the best kind of exhaustion! So glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
my highlight was running into you and Cathy unexpectedly – what are the chances, right?! 😀 have a lovely week!
We loved seeing you too, Joy!! And I don’t go out very often, so the chances are pretty slim. 😂😂 Have a great week!!
