I received GlobeIn’s Boho Box in exchange for an honest review. This post also appears on A Year of Boxes.
GlobeIn Artisan Box is a monthly subscription box featuring handmade, ethically sourced products from makers around the world. July’s has a boho theme designed to invite the garden inside (tho I shot everything outside here) and “turn your world into a self-made, tropical luxury hotel.”
Each GlobeIn box is valued around $70 USD (sometimes more) and includes four to five handmade items from artists from around the world. Subscribers can also choose additional products to customize their box.
Subscription prices are as follows (all prices in USD):
1 month — $40
3-month subscription — $38/month ($114)
6-month subscription — $35/month ($210)
12-month subscription –$33/month ($396)
Shipping in the US is $10/month (your first box ships free); shipping to Canada $22/month (your first box ships free); and international shipping is $25/month.
Each box includes a glossy, full-colour brochure with details about each product and the artisans who made it, along with a recipe that pairs well with the theme. (July’s recipe is an interesting fruit salad with pineapple, mandarin oranges, bananas, pecans, whip cream and more.)
Sierra Whitewash Terracotta Planter, Bangladesh ($24)
The planter fits so well with our decor! I moved my aluminum plant into it and he seems pretty happy, ‘tho I need to figure out what’s causing the brown tips on some of the leaves. Any ideas, green thumbs?
Unity Raffia Trivet, Uganda ($26)
We didn’t have a single trivet before this one and I love the size and the design. It’ll save our table the next time we want to serve fajita fixings from a sizzling cast iron pan and make for summery decor inside and out.
Lacquered Coconut Bowl in Peacock, Vietnam ($22)
This keepsake bowl looks gorgeous as is but I can think of so many things to keep inside that would contrast beautifully with the peacock blue. (Gold and silver jewellery, for starters.) Not food-safe and handwash only.
Grassland Table Runner in Midsummer, India ($40)
This runner is 58″ long so great for a table for four or even a longer table if you don’t mind it floating in the middle. (Personally I’d love a pair to run vertically.) The colours are perfect for summer mealtimes, including the occasional fajita night.
GlobeIn’s Boho Box is valued at $112, almost triple the purchase price (and a little more than that, depending on the length of your subscription). It’s a convenient way to source unique, handmade items while helping to ensure artisans around the world receive fair wages.

[…] (And did you recognize the table runner? It’s from last July’s GlobeIn Box.) […]
