Nana + Livy sent me some of their newest products to try in exchange for an honest review.
If skincare’s on their wishlist and shopping small’s on yours, may I suggest Nana + Livy? Burnaby, BC maker Amelia So recently expanded her vegan, all-natural bath treats biz to include some small-batch skincare and I’m loving the products I’ve tried. Today I’ve got a closer look and a little something for you too.

The new line includes two face oils (Bloom for dry to normal skin and Glow for combination to oily); three of the 2-in-1 face mask + polish (Pamper, Relax and Refresh), a hair oil, and facial squares (organic and reusable cotton pads). I haven’t sampled the latter two but Amelia was kind enough to send one of her newest soap blocks, birthday. (We chatted about the soap blocks and a few other products in this post from last year.)

I’m prone to break outs when I’m stressed and the stress-eating probably doesn’t help either so I was a bit hesitant to try the face oil just before the holidays. But so far so good! My skin’s been clear and baby-soft, even with the general overwhelm and copious amounts of chocolate. Is it a Christmas miracle or just good skincare? My spidey senses tell me it’s the face oil.
The Glow blend is made with six different oils — pumpkin seed, sweet almond, cranberry seed, evening primrose, and lavender and chamomile roman essential oils — along with Vitamin E and lavender buds.
High in vitamin E, the Face Oil is ideal for balancing oils while brightening and moisturizing your skin. Our Face Oil is made with non-toxic ingredients and is 100% vegan — the best Skin Treat to be devoured by your skin! — Nana + Livy
Glow has a light, floral scent that’s discreet but lovely.

Our 2-in-1 Face Mask + Polish is more than just a pouch of clay powder. Depending on how you choose to use it, it will transform the clay powder into either a relaxing moisturizer (Face Mask) or powerful exfoliator (Face Polish) during your daily skin care routine. — Nana + Livy
The Pamper face mask + polish is described as calming, rejuvenating and mild — just what I’m looking for this time of year and probably a healthier way to self-soothe than gorging on chocolate. It’s made with a blend of French pink clay, rosehip powder, Himalayan pink salts, chamomile powder, ground oats and lavender powder. You can make a paste with a spoonful and a little bit of water and apply it as a mask or rub the dry powder on damp skin and use as a polish. I’ve tried it both ways and it’s so mild I feel like you could easily use it every day without over doing it. I prefer to use it as a mask because it feels more like a treat (maybe because I like to put my feet up when I’ve got one on, ha ha) but really either way feels great.
