A check up from the neck up: Trying Wrinkles Schminkles’ super smoothing Silicone Patches

A Facebook group I’m in recently asked its members what beauty advice they’d give their younger selves and one thing that came up repeatedly was “DON’T FORGET YOUR NECK!” (often in full caps). For so many of us (myself included), it’s the land that sunscreen and moisturizer forgot. And yet time did not. Apart from my brain — which will spend 20 minutes looking for sunglasses before finding them on my head — my neck is probably showing the signs of aging the most. So when Wrinkles Schminkles asked if I’d like to try some of their non-invasive wrinkle-busting treatments I gave it a go. Better late than never!

Wrinkles Schminkles makes a variety of anti-aging treatments like sheet masks, peel pads and booster products. Today we’re looking at their medical grade silicone patches that promise to smooth lines and wrinkles in just a few hours or overnight. I tried the ones for your neck and forehead, but you can also get them for your hands, chest, eyes, mouth and lips.

I have a picture of the neck one out of the package a little further below. You’ll see it’s a floppy sheet of silicone shaped for the area you’re targeting. Simply peel off the plastic to uncover the sticky side and smooth it over clean, dry, product-free skin.

They comfortably hug your skin preventing it from creasing or wrinkling whilst the medical grade silicone supports the skin’s natural ability to hydrate the skin, retain the moisture, stimulate blood flow and can help to boost collagen production – the benefits are both instant and cumulative!

Leave the patch on for an hour or two or overnight. I kept the forehead patch on for about three hours and the neck patch (below) overnight.

The patches can be reused 15 to 20 times. Wrinkles Schminkles recommends using them (aka “schminkling”) two to three times a week.

Clean them in between uses with water and a drop or two of patch cleanser and leave to dry. Store in the pouch them came in.

Admittedly my forehead wasn’t super wrinkly before using the patch but afterwards! So smooth! I definitely noticed a difference.

Now I know you don’t have “before” pictures to compare with the “after” (I’ll share some on Instagram and Facebook when I try the patches around my mouth) but I can’t get over the difference to my neck. The deep lines that have been there for years and years have been dramatically diminished. I’m writing this 8 hours after I removed the patch and my neck still looks so smooth! (And dare I say swan-like? 🦢😂) I feel like I’ve got a brand-new neck! After just one use!
