A Sweet Reads Box for the longest month: March 2020

I received the March Sweet Reads Box in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. This post also appears on A Year of Boxes. Anyone else feel like March was 8,000 days long? 🙋‍♀️ Oy vey! I’m doing my best to put one foot in front of the other but a lot of days I feel like I’m stuck in molasses. Hence my spotty posts. Please bear with me, dear readers. Lots of good stuff coming. (Psst: I’m supporting some of my favourite small businesses with some purchases to share with you including a Sweet Reads Box giveaway so watch for that very soon.) Today I’ve got the March box and after that, the latest limited edition. If it’s new to you or you’ve heard of it but you’re not sure what it’s all about, Sweet Reads Box is a monthly subscription box service that’s “me time delivered” with a new novel, something to eat and drink, and a few other products tied to the story or theme.

Controversial ‘great American novel’ is February’s Sweet Reads Box pick

I received February’s Sweet Reads Box in exchange for an honest review. This post also appears on A Year of Boxes. Friends, amigos, compadres, I’ve missed you! I’ve had the worst writer’s block the past few weeks but I’m gonna try my best to shake it off and get this train back on track. February’s Sweet Reads Box features a topical, controversial new book some have called “the great American novel” and a bevvy of bookish items (including something to eat and drink) related to the story. ‘Me time’ delivered!

January’s Sweet Reads Box royally delivers 👑

I received January’s Sweet Reads Box in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. This post also appears on A Year of Boxes.  High five, my friends. We got through January, Valentine’s Day is around the corner and before we know it we’ll be sailing into March. Normally I go to my aunt’s place in Florida this time of year to roam around Target in my flip flops and read by the pool but that wasn’t possible so I’m here at home, writing to you from the couch with two blankets piled on top of me, a hot cup of tea by my side and a candle flickering on the widow sill (which always feels so cozy). It also meant I was home when January’s Sweet Reads Box arrived so I’ve got that here for you today. It’s a Canadian subscription service that’s “me time delivered” with a new novel, a hot beverage and a few treasures related to the story, and it’s always SO GOOD!

Me time delivered for the holidays: Inside the Sweet Reads Box Christmas Box

I received the Sweet Reads Box Christmas Box in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. This post is also on A Year of Boxes. Happy New Year, everybody! I’m still in holiday mode until the kids go back to school next week so I’m giving myself some grace and sharing the first of a couple more December boxes today. I would have loved to have them up for you before Christmas but we were so busy getting ready for company and the big man in red that there was just no way. But good things come to those that wait. And this limited edition Christmas Box from Sweet Reads Box is very, very good. Like their monthly subscription boxes it’s “me time delivered” with a novel and something to eat and drink and a few bookish goods tied to the story, only this one has a Christmas theme.

How much do we love a limited edition? What’s inside the second Book Lovers Box from Sweet Reads Box

Sweet Reads Box sent me their Book Lovers Box in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. Well I finally got around to booking my laser eye surgery for January 1. Can’t wait to have 2020 vision. 😂 Okay I don’t need laser eye surgery but I see it’s been a minute since I promised today’s post. Sweet Reads Box issues special one-off boxes from time to time (I’ve just ordered one of their first Kids Christmas Boxes for my guys) and IMHO their second limited edition Book Lovers Box is one of their best. Like the monthly subscription box, it’s “me time delivered” with a new novel, tea or coffee, a sweet treat and some goodies tied in to the story; in this case the book is about an aspiring novelist and the goodies all celebrate books. Here’s a closer look. 📚
