I received the KitchenAid stand mixer and slicer/shredder attachment from TSC for free to review. The opinions expressed in my post are my own and not those of Rogers. And the same for Mad Radish — they sent me a gift card to pay for lunch. I think the gift cards are a great idea for holiday giving. (And receiving! Just sayin’.)
Even for a few days away I tend to way overpack but my travel essentials really don’t take up much room. Here are the must-haves I brought to Wasaga Beach for a girls’ weekend last month at Lakes of Wasaga Cottage and RV Resort. (Full disclosure: All of the products I’m talking about in this post were provided free of charge, but I wouldn’t share them with you if I didn’t love them and think you might too.) … Five travel essentials + A giveaway!
Hi guys! How have you been? I’m sorry it’s been so quiet here on the blog — I was sick for about a week there (maybe food poisoning, ‘tho it really hung on so I’m not sure what it was) and busy this past week making up for lost time by taking extra classes at a fitness studio I’ve been doing a challenge with over the past month. Today I’m checking in with a few highlights from the past couple of weeks and a chance to win a book I’m just getting into and really loving, Beartown by A Man Called Ove author Fredrik Backman. (Thanks for the copy, Simon & Schuster Canada!) It’s not out ’til April 25, but you can get a first look here. … Five things + Win Beartown by Fredrik Backman
T minus two days ’til I’m off on my winter adventure! I hinted about it this week on Instagram and today I’m going to give you a few more details, along with a look at a couple of things I’ve been up to lately (like last Sunday’s lunch at our favourite neighbourhood bagel shop). Plus (PLUS!) a giveaway I hope you’re going to love. … Five things + A giveaway!
I’ve been trying to keep my face to the sun this week but it hasn’t been easy. Jamesy’s been so sick and I’m stressed to the hilt. (It’s been two weeks since his autoimmune disease flared up and it’ll likely be another two before he’s feeling better.) But I’ve got a tonne of things I want to share with you right up until Christmas, so I’m going to try my best to stay in touch. Here’s Benny this afternoon in the blanket of leaves that is our backyard, plus four things we’ve tried this week. … Five things + A giveaway!
We’ve still got one more sleep before it’s open for shopping, but in this special edition of five things I’m sharing five sneak peeks at Ottawa’s new two-storey, 100,000-square-foot Simons store. It’s the anchor of the Rideau Centre‘s 230,000-square-foot expansion and the thirteenth store for the Quebec retailer. Simons CEO, Peter Simons, hosted a media preview last night in advance of the grand opening. Let’s take a look! … Five things from Ottawa’s new Simons
I don’t have the patience to shop WINNERS for clothes but when it comes to stand-out accessories, well I’ve got all the time in the world. This sweet bag said take me home when I spied it in store last weekend for $9.99 (regular price!). But before you run out to try to snag one of your own, here’s four other things from this week. … Five things
If you’re looking for something to read this summer and you haven’t already read it (or liked it so much you want to read it again), maybe you’d like to pick up a copy of The Light Between Oceans by M. L. Stedman. The publisher is hosting a read-a-long starting July 8 in advance of the movie version coming out in September. (They sent me a copy of the book to review and tell you about.) I can’t wait to get into it, but of course I will. Okay I did read the first couple of pages. But I promise I’ll wait on the rest and we can read along together. Here’s four other things from the past little while. … Five things on a Monday
