Apart from that time I forgot Mother’s Day and gave her a card from the Hasty Market (not my proudest moment 🤦♀️) my mom’s always appreciated any gift, large or small. I know she’d be quite happy with pictures of her grandkids and a call — she lives 450 km away in Toronto — but if there’s any day I want to spoil her, Mother’s Day is it. She deserves the best! Enter Foodiepages. The Canadian co. curates gift boxes featuring the best sips, eats and treats from some of my favourite Canadian makers and small businesses and ships worldwide. They specialize in corporate gift boxes but you don’t have to be a biz to appreciate (and gift!) their fabulous selection for virtually every occasion. I have two of their Mother’s Day boxes to share with you — this one today for my mom and another tomorrow that I ordered for my bestie. Here’s a look at Foodie Pages’ In The Pink gift box. (Foodiepages sent me this box for promotional purposes and tomorrow’s box I paid for myself.)Continue reading Time to spoil mom! Hello hello! I have a few really wonderful boxes to share with you this week, all of them Canadian 🇨🇦 which is interesting because I feel like it wasn’t so long ago that pickings were slim. Three or four years later it’s a whole different story, with several exceptional made-in-Canada boxes to choose from in virtually every category. Today’s box is one of the more luxurious offerings and a great value for the price, IMHO. It’s the Spring delivery from The Gift Refinery, a quarterly lifestyle subscription box that sends you a 7 to 10 luxe Canadian-made products from beauty to housewares and everything in between. I treated myself to this one and I’m so glad I did. Let’s take a look.Continue reading The Gift Refinery Spring 2022 🇨🇦
I received the Spring Hygge in a Box in exchange for an honest review.
“Look out for any signs of springtime unfolding around you and enjoy the sense of comfort it brings you.” — Hygge in a Box
A few new tulips have bloomed in our front yard this year and it makes me happy every time I see them standing tall. Especially since they’re right in front of the dryer vent. Their days are numbered. 😂 I feel like the Nordic must have a word for the particular kind of contentment that comes with admiring flowers but all I could find was kalsarikannit, what the Finnish call getting drunk in your underwear with no intention of going out. (Maybe they’re not so different? 😂) If you’re looking for ways to practice hygge and self-care with the seasons, Hygge in a Box delivers them to you. The spring box arrived last week filled with a carefully curated variety of Canadian-made products and ideas for celebrating the simple pleasures this time of year brings.Continue reading Practicing hygge and self-care with the seasons: Hygge in a Box Spring 2021 🇨🇦
