I received July’s Sweet Reads Box for free in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
We’re only a couple of weeks into summer break and I’ve already lost my shit more times than I can count. I thought I was pacing it out okay, but then last week was hot as hell and my mom was visiting so the kids were pushing it and none of us are getting enough sleep so I ended up reaching my shit-losing quota way sooner than I thought. “I’ve got to do better at keeping it together,” I told myself. But how? Then the universe sent me a sign. … Because my alone time is for everyone’s safety: July’s Sweet Reads Box
I received October’s Sweet Reads Box for free in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
The other night I started the novel in this month’s Sweet Reads Box and I’m super stressed about how it’s going to end. Thrillers don’t typically tie things up in a bow but I really don’t want to be haunted by this one. It’s called Three Days Missing and it’s about two mothers who become unlikely allies when one of their sons (the same age as mine!) vanishes on a school camping trip. … What’s inside October’s Sweet Reads Box
I received September’s Sweet Reads Box for free in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own and from the ❤️.
It’s here! September’s Sweet Reads Box arrived this week and it’s their one-year anniversary so we are going to PAR-TAY. And by that I mean stay home and read books. Which is a good thing since I have very little to offer you in terms of snackages apart from the highly disappointing Skinny Pop popcorn mini cakes I’m munching on that are apparently sharp cheddar flavour but I am getting none of that. Also we’re out of Diet Pepsi. So yes I would make a very bad host. But let’s move along. In honour of this very special occasion, and to thank all of you who’ve followed along since I first started reviewing the boxes last September, I’m giving away a September 2018 box out of my own pocket to one lucky reader. Let’s see what’s inside already!
(Alsoooooooo, if this is the first time you’re hearing of Sweet Reads Box it’s a Canadian book subscription box that comes with a novel, something sweet to eat, a beverage and a few other bookish treats related to the story. Fun, right?) … What’s Inside September’s Sweet Reads Box + A giveaway!
I received the August Sweet Reads Box for free in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own and from the heart.
Next month marks the one-year anniversary of one of my favourite subscription boxes and I feel like we should do something to celebrate, yes? I think I’ve got just the thing. I’ve ordered one of September’s Sweet Reads Boxes to share in a giveaway with one of you, the readers who support me month after month and make it possible for me to blog about it in the first place. (Thank you thank you!) In the meantime, let’s look at what’s inside the August box. … What’s inside August’s Sweet Reads Box
I received the June Sweet Reads Box free of charge for review purposes. All opinions are my own and from the heart.
Summer is the season for adventure and June’s Sweet Reads Box celebrates that with a story revolving around one fateful camping trip and a selection of outdoorsy goodies that us indoor cats can still enjoy without putting a foot outside. If you’re new to Sweet Reads Box, it’s a Canadian book subscription box service that comes with a contemporary novel and five or six treats related to the story. I’ve been reviewing them here since they first launched last fall and this month’s box is one of my faves. (And not just because of the cute mug, but that definitely tipped the scale.) … What’s inside June’s Sweet Reads Box
I partnered with Indigo for this sponsored post. All opinions are my own and from the heart.
“It’s not all sunshine and rainbows but a good amount of it actually is.” — Adam J. Kurtz
I think I could move into an Indigo tomorrow and be quite happy. Thousands of books to read, dozens of cozy pillows and throws to curl up with, and so many mugs for tea that I’d never have to wash a dish. I could roll out a yoga mat in front of the store’s soaring windows (not that I do yoga but you know, I love all the cute gear), track my steps from one department to another on my Fitbit, and get my eight glasses a day refilling my S’well and bkr water bottles (because naturally they have all those too). So when Indigo invited me to preview their newest location, I packed a bag. I was out to the store last Friday for a tour and back the next morning for the ribbon cutting that kicked off the grand opening. (Me and more than 400 others who lined up to be the first through those beautiful indigo blue doors.) Here’s a look inside the 20,000+ square foot location at 2025 Mer-Bleue Road in Orleans. And trust me when I say it’s even better in person. … Tour my new home-away-from-home: Indigo Innes + A giveaway!
I received May’s Sweet Reads Box for free in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own and from the heart.
I’ve been reading a book about anti-gravity — I just can’t put it down! Ha ha ha. Okay so I haven’t been reading about anti-gravity, but I have been enjoying the first bit of this month’s Sweet Reads Box selection and some of the clever tie-ins that came with it. (If you’re new to Sweet Reads Box, it’s a Canadian book subscription box service that comes with a contemporary novel and five or six treats related to the story.) Let me show you what’s inside the May box. I’m curious to hear what you think! … What’s inside May’s Sweet Reads Box
I received April’s Sweet Reads Box for free in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own and from the heart.
This month’s Sweet Reads Box reveal is a little later than usual but I think it’s worth the wait. In addition to a peek behind the scenes with founders Kerrie and Mark, I’ve got a giveaway for the June box! And if it’s the first you’re hearing of it, Sweet Reads Box is a Canadian book subscription service that comes with a novel and five or six related treats (including something to eat and drink, which always goes over well around here). You can see all my past reviews here. Now let’s get to the April box! … Meet the makers: Q&A with Sweet Reads Box founders Kerrie and Mark + April’s reveal + A giveaway!
I received the March Sweet Reads Box for free to review but all opinions are still my own.
I’ve been talking about Sweet Reads Box here since it launched last September and I feel like it’s high time we got to know a little something about the Toronto-area couple who started it and some of the behind-the-scenes work that goes into putting the boxes together each month. (If it’s the first you’re hearing of it, Sweet Reads Box is a monthly subscription box service that includes a novel and four or five treats tied to the story and its characters.) I’ll be chatting with founders Kerrie and Mark in a couple of weeks and I’d love to hear what you’re curious about. What questions would you like me to ask? While you’re thinking about it, let’s take a look at what’s inside the March box. … Happy mail: What’s inside the March Sweet Reads Box
