One of my favourite subscriptions for a few years now is Hygge in a Box, a quarterly lifestyle and wellness box curated with a thoughtful collection of Canadian-made products and ideas to enjoy hygge moments with the seasons. It’s available in small and large sizes as a quarterly subscription or by-the-box and ships from Manitoba across Canada and the US. Here’s a look at the latest edition, the Summer Hygge Box (large version).

I used to feel bad that my hubby spent his first Father’s Day putting up wallpaper but looking back it was smart to set the bar low ’cause every one since has been an improvement. Even if we do nothing (or next to nothing 😬) it’s better than 12 hours working with wallpaper paste. This year the kids made breakfast, cleaned up after, and we gave Dad this great Father’s Day Hygge Box from Hygge in a Box. It’s a thoughtful collection of Canadian products that encourage being mindful and enjoying the present, experiencing that wonderful sense of wellness and contentment that hygge in all about. Here’s a look inside.

The first couple of months of motherhood are a blur but I do remember feeling like every time I ran into someone I was wearing the same stretched-out, spit-up-stained t-shirt. Self-care goes out the window when you’re just trying to survive. Even now that my kids are teens and the demands are different (much easier in some ways, much harder in others), “me-time” often ends up at the bottom of the list. So I love the Mother’s Day Box from Hygge in a Box. It’s a special edition thoughtfully curated to help moms practice some self-love and enjoy hygge-filled moments.
