Apart from that time I forgot Mother’s Day and gave her a card from the Hasty Market (not my proudest moment 🤦♀️) my mom’s always appreciated any gift, large or small. I know she’d be quite happy with pictures of her grandkids and a call — she lives 450 km away in Toronto — but if there’s any day I want to spoil her, Mother’s Day is it. She deserves the best! Enter Foodiepages. The Canadian co. curates gift boxes featuring the best sips, eats and treats from some of my favourite Canadian makers and small businesses and ships worldwide. They specialize in corporate gift boxes but you don’t have to be a biz to appreciate (and gift!) their fabulous selection for virtually every occasion. For example, I’ve got two events coming up in the next month that I should be looking forward to — book-related events I’ve paid to attend — but the closer they get, the more dread I feel. It’s this downward spiral of “I’m not smart enough/funny enough/entertaining enough to be there” combined with “I need to lose 10 to 15 pounds by then or people are going to think I’ve totally let myself go and I’m going to hate every picture.” (My heart is pounding just writing this.) How does any of this relate to Foxy Originals‘ new collection? I’m getting to it. Continue reading Mental health, Foxy Originals’ new fall/winter collection + A giveaway!
