I received June’s Norlii Box in exchange for an honest review.
Hello hello! I hope your week’s off to a great start. We’re got blue skies and 32 degrees here in Ottawa and I’ve just come inside after eating a popsicle on the back deck, one of those simple pleasures that signal summer is here. “Simple Days” is the theme of the latest Scandinavian home and lifestyle box from Norlii, this one with a collection of items from renown nordic brands for an easy-breezy summer vibe. The bi-monthly subscription box ships from Copenhagen, Denmark to Canada and the US and now the UK and the EU too. (I think that might be new since April’s review.)

I received May’s Sweet Reads Box in exchange for an honest review. This post also appears on A Year of Boxes.
Annnnd we’re back. I hope you had a good weekend. I didn’t get to half the things on my to-do list but that’s okay. If you’re new to Sweet Reads Box, it’s a Canadian book box that delivers me time each month with a new novel, something delicious to eat and drink while you’re reading, and some other bookish items related to the story or the theme of the box (think mugs, bookmarks, stationery and other super fun surprises). Subscriptions and single boxes are available to try (or gift) along with limited edition, stand-alone boxes released throughout the year. Let’s look at May’s offering.

More and more I find it hard to know what my fourteen-year-old daughter will like, what with the mood swings and the eye-rolling and the emotional outbursts — and that’s just me! 🤣 — so I really relish the times when we’re on the same page. And both of us can’t even with today’s subscription box. It’s called Ruby Crate and it’s a treasure trove of beauty, style and self-expression created for tween and teen girls by a mother-daughter duo right here in Ontario. And it’s a gem.
