Boxes, books and other small things for homebodies

These are a few of my fav-ou-rite fall thiiiings

“Autumn is the season of reflection, where the trees let go of their leaves like old memories, making way for new beginnings.”

Ah, fall. The colours and scents and textures and flavours, the cooler temps, the warmer layers. It’s just the best! Whether you’re totally on board or need a little nudge, today’s box is going to give you all the fall feels. It’s called Acre75 Gathered, and it’s like a seasonal starter kit with some of my favourite things about fall. All of the products are made in small towns and communities across Canada and a portion of the sales goes to rural mental health initiatives. The fall box I’m showing you today is available to order as a single box, or you can start a subscription and see a lovely curation of small town treasures on your doorstep four times a year. Let’s get into it!

Every box comes with a guide to the contents that pairs brief descriptions of the items with fun facts about the communities where they were made. I like to read it aloud to my teenagers because I think it’s really interesting but also because it annoys them #toughcrowd ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿคฃ and I’m evil like that. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Pumpkin Pie Pecans (Jewels Under the Kilt ยท Fergus, ON) Made using farm-fresh pumpkin and a blend of hand cracked nutmeg and spices, these pecans capture the essence of autumn in every bite.

Love these! Perfectly (pumpkin) spiced, super crunchy, and roasted with Canadian maple syrup but not too sweet. A satisfying fall snack!

Cozy Crochet Pumpkin (Amy Nicole Designs ยท Milverton, ON) This handmade crocheted pumpkin will infuse your home with simple autumn charm.

It’s sweater weather, even for pumpkins. Right now I’ve got this crocheted cutie on a side table by the couch where I like to drink my tea but I’m going to try him in a few different places around the house. My fall decorating has officially begun!

Sweater Weather Candle (Woven + Wicks ยท Tara, ON) Embrace the cozy ambience of crisp autumn days as this inviting aroma of apple, cinnamon and nutmeg fills your home.

Smells just heavenly! Made with 100% soy wax for a safe burn and a reusable tin I’ll wash and keep for something else.

Sandalwood Potato Soap (By The Sea Soap Shoppe ยท Bloomfield, PE) Potato soap? Yes! And it comes with its own little potato sack! This soap is make using potato water — the water you get every time you boil potatoes. This water is filled with B and C vitamins, potassium, calcium, iron and more. You will love it! Vegan, natural ingredients, phthalate free.

l grew up in potato country so how am I only hearing of potato soap just now? I think this is just brilliant. Natural, rich in vitamins and a great scent! And the potato sack is the sweetest.

Cheese & Garlic Biscuit Mix (Stone Bridge Flour ยท Ripley, ON) This mix is simple and quick to add to any dinner. Made using stone-milled flour from wheat grown on the Devitt family farm.

I miss baking in the summer but I make up for it in the fall, usually with sweet muffins and loaves but cheese & garlic biscuits sound awesome! I’m going to try them later this week when my mom’s here for a visit. Maybe for Sunday dinner. Comfort food.

Canvas Tissue Box Cover (Lot8 ยท Stratford, ON) Transform ordinary tissue boxes with this beautiful handmade canvas cover. The elegant and intentional design adds charm to any room while keeping tissues handy.

I’ve always wondered why tissue boxes have to come in such tacky patterns and colours but never found a cover I liked. Until now. This simple, organic style goes with our decor and the canvas is thick enough to camouflage even the most god-awful designs. Love it!

Acre75 Gatheredย ships in March, June, September and December, delivering seasonally inspired products from small Canadian communities — and no small amount of magic. โœจโœจ A limited number of fall boxes are available to order commitment-free, if you’d like to try it or surprise someone who would.

With thanks to Acre75 Gathered, who sent me this box in exchange for an honest review.
