Boxes, books and other small things for homebodies

I love that journey for you: Wanderlust Hygge

I can’t remember what I did 10 minutes ago, never mind the entire weekend, but when the house is at full volume like it is tonight it’s next to impossible. My daughter’s singing in the shower at the top of her lungs, my husband’s crunching on a bag of chips in the next room and my son’s gone full-bro playing with a buddy on his game. Only my cat is keeping it down (for now). I know the weather was gorgeous and we must have done something. Think think think. Only Murders in the Building was in there somewhere (one more episode to go) and a trip to IKEA to look at mattresses. I went down the street to a neighbour’s for Girl Guide cookies from their twins, started an excellent book and made a dent in the laundry. And when I wasn’t doing that, I was googling Taylor Swift + Travis Kelce (obsessed!) and checking Hygge in a Box‘s Instagram stories. HIAB founders Jill and Lisa hosted a hygge wellness retreat this weekend in Ste. Anne, Manitoba and I’m dying to hear all about it! In the meantime I want to show you this excellent box they put together for hygge adventures away and at home. The Wanderlust Hygge Box is a curation of Canadian-made products and ideas that encourage exploration that is mindful, joyful and nourishing. It could be as simple as lighting a favourite scented candle in your Airbnb so it smells like home; balancing a day of hiking with an evening movie and a favourite treat; or trying local cuisine to discover new flavours, cultures and traditions. I could go on (obvs) but maybe I’ll just show you already. Seems like a good plan. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Each Hygge in a Box comes with a product card with all kinds of ideas for cultivating hygge on one side and detailed descriptions of the contents on the other, along with exclusive discounts for items in the box.

We believe that in supporting small Canadian businesses, we can lead the way to a more sustainable and responsible future. With every product, we prioritize natural and sustainable materials, organic ingredients when available, and ethical and fair-trade sources. We believe that incorporating these practices into our everyday lives contributes to each person’s well-being and the wholesomeness of our planet.

Okay this sounds delicious too. Looking forward to sharing it with friends.

As much as I love my homebody life, I’ve often felt “less than” for not being more adventurous and well-travelled and wanderlusty (LOL) but Hygge in a Box made me feel seen. IMHO the Wanderlust Hygge Box is just as perfect for my hygge adventures in and around home as it is for more outdoorsy, jet-setting types. It takes a lot of time, research and care to strike that balance and it shows.

The Wanderlust Hygge Box and the Fall Hygge in a Box are both sold out but the limited-edition Hygge Holiday Box is currently available to order and ships to Canada and the US. If you want to get a leg up on your holiday gifting, consider this a sign!

Sending loved ones snuggly winter hygge is a surefire way to bring cozy holiday cheer and maybe a sweet treat or two! The box is the perfect thing to get you and your loved ones on the journey to peace and some quiet moments during the busyness of the season. Special Edition Boxes are perfect for your own personal wish list (there is no shame in dropping subtle hints to those around you), friends, parents, grandparents, aunts/uncles, nieces/nephews, siblings, employee(s), clients, teachers, or anyone you would like to wish a happy holiday this season.

  1. Can I pamper myself with the spray and the lip balm then eat the cookies, have the lemonade, enjoy the candle and wear the cuff all at the same time.? Too hard to pick a fave. Your pics are beautiful, love the shadows and the light. And always enjoy your fun commentary.

  2. Also obsessed with Swelce! ๐Ÿคฃ KC is our team ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป
